Learn more about the benefits of a chemical peel and how this quick and safe approach to smoother skin can help you diminish fine lines and discolouration.
The chemical peel is often referred to as “the lunchtime peel” as the procedure takes less than half an hour. Through the safe removal of the top micro-thin layer of damaged skin cells, a chemical peel stimulates cell division, which results in the creation of new and healthy cells. This birth of new cells can lead to smoother skin, the diminishing of fine lines, and evening out of discoloration.
Nuderm now offers two variations of chemical peels to tailor to your unique skincare needs:
The Jessner Peel requires little to no downtime and is perfect for the face, chest, back, and arms. The Jessner Peel is a unique professional procedure that safely provides controlled exfoliation of damaged skin. This treatment can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, laxity, acne, enlarged pores, age spots, sun damage, and melasma.
The Jessner Peel solution is particularly effective for thick, oily, and acne-prone skin. One of the key ingredients in the Jessner Peel is salicylic acid, which deeply penetrates the skin and removes congested sebum and dead skin cells.
After your treatment you can return straight to work, although there may be mild to moderate redness or flaking of the skin. We suggest an initial series of 3-6 peels (one every 2-4 weeks), and maintenance peels every 3-6 months. Our clients have noticed firmer skin and restoration of their youthful glow.
The Vivier Peel also requires little to no downtime and is perfect for the face, neck, and chest. This peel offers a gentle, but effective micro exfoliation that can brighten and tighten your skin, leaving you feeling radiant and glowing. In addition, this treatment helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne, age spots, and is recommended for all skin types, including patients with rosacea and/or sensitive skin.
